Man what a great time to be alive. Shout out to me today, got a lil drop in the NY post on page 29 about how I am doing another MJ set tonight at Tenjune. That will be fun. And shout out to Southside where I spun last night. I stopped the music at 2 and got on the mic and said a few words about MJ. Then we all jammed till 5 am. I had a blast. That was another one of those NYC nights I will never forget. The crowd had such great energy and everyone had a smile on their faces. I loved it.

Last night I spun at THE ELDRIDGE with Nick Cannon and Mariah carey for his managers bday. Party was good. But Mariah kept making him play the song she did “OBSESSED” about my man Eminem. To me just by making the song you show Em more love then by just ignoring him completely. You do not want to get Eminem upset. He will amke a song about u that will hurt. That whole scene was a little weird but whatever, moving on.
RIP to the beautiful Farrah Fawcett. She was a knockout.
Wooooowwwwwww!! Shaq traded to the Cavs. This is big. I cannot wait to see those two funny ass beasts on the court together. I hope they take that trophy back from Kobe next season.

Ok. im feeling sick today. But I promised to do a new post everyday. So here you go.
First lets talk about the new battle on 17th and 10th ave here in NYC between 1 oak (my home away from home) and the new Jason and Noah spot Avenue that just opened literally right around the corner at the old Earth location. I like both spots. Im interested to see how that plays out. I have a feeling they will both feed off each other. DJ AM was at Avenue spinning last nite, so I heard him for a while then went to Oak after. It is nice to have two nice spots close and not on 27th st.
Moving on. When I was in Thailand. I listened only to house music. Alot of the good stuff I heard was at after parties where they started playing minimal house, and not the crazy commercial trance they played at the big early parties. Alot of the stuff I liked is from these dj’s out of Berlin. Berlin is like a mecca for house dj’s rite now. I cant wait to go there and bang out. Check out the “Fabric” cd collection out of Berlin. They have cool cd covers too.
And last. On my hip hop shit. Jay Z put out DOA a new record about the Death Of Auto Tune artists. I know im a little behind on it because I was away for a month, but just to speak on it….. I am a big Jay fan. And I like his verse on the record. But I am not really feeling the the track itself. If anyone could dead Auto Tune artists, Jay could be the one. But I still don’t think Ron Browz, Webstar, or T Payne are going anywhere any time soon.
OK. I am finally getting over the jet lag from thailand. I slept at my girls for like 2 days straight. Much needed to get me truly back on my NYC grind. So music wise for today get up on your Gabriel & Dresden….. and Sander Kleinberg both are sick with the house, and have influenced alot of house dj’s I like.
On the Family Guy tip, I’m sure a lot of you have seen it, but I have to give a shout out to the episode called OCEANS 3 AND A HALF…LOL. I was dying when I watched it on this sight SURFTHECHANNEL.com yesterday. That’s a sick sight for watching movies and t.v on the internet for free.
Next, I have not seen to many photos yet, but I have been hearing alot of good things about the new ALICE IN WONDERLAND movie that Tim Burton is directing starring Johnny Depp. I can’t wait.
Also I want to just give another shout to Barack Obama. I just saw his most recent speech today, addressing issues like IRAN, THE GREEN PLANET, HEALTH CARE REFORM and OUR SAFETY FROM TERRORISM. What a smooth brother. Watching him speak makes me proud to be an American. Its been almost 9 years since I felt that way watching the leader of our nation.

And DRAKE is the guy who pretty much wrote LIL WAYNES last album. He’s a cocky ass dude like KANYE was when he first came out, but the kid definetly is nice. Check him out. I like the track he did with LIL WAYNE called “I’m Goin In”.
Also U.S Soccer had a big win yesterday to get into the semi finals of the world cup qualifiers. Check out the high lights online.
And lastly I hate waking up every morning and watching the news fill my head up with depressing facts about the recession. My only advice to you all when you see that shit, is turn the tv off and use that depressing news as motivation to make sure that you stay ahead of the curve. Don’t be a statistic. Luv u guys.
